The
link below is to one of my photos taken with the Sony
717 and in my opinion makes an usually
"delicious" looking screensaver or
background wallpaper for your computer.
There is also
an interesting story to it. On the plains of eastern
Colorado where I take a lot of my photos, there are a
lot of Prickly Pear Cactus. Although we have just come
through a record breaking drought, we had rains at the
right time the last two years and the cactus flowers
were spectacular. Oddly there are two distinct colors
on the prickly pear. Some plants have intense magenta
flowers and some identical looking plants a few feet
away have clear lemon yellow flowers. A few seem to
have hybridized and have mixed flowers. On the plant
this picture comes from there were some mostly
magenta, some mostly yellow flowers, some yellow
flowers with pink centers and very strangely, PEACH
colored flowers. This is a close up of a peach colored
cactus flower which is crisp enough to look
deliciously edible. It is a very big file, over 2MB,
so it will take a while to load. What I suggest is to
right click the link, select "Save As
Target" and save to a folder like "My
Pictures".
Once it is saved on your computer:
1. Right Click anywhere on your
desktop (monitor screen), but not on any open window
or application.
2. Click Properties - Desktop - Browse
3. Navigate to where you saved this picture and double
click it.
4. Make sure "Position" is marked
"Stretch" and click Apply - OK.
This sets it as your background,
setting as screensaver is similar.

Below is a very small, very low
quality version of the picture so you can see what it
looks like. The one you download is much higher
quality. Please, bookmark Digital
Camera Reviews right now before you forget. I will try to keep
offering free tips and little gifts like this.
